Dawn Scott Jones is an author who has written her first book, “When A Woman You Love Was Abused,” a Readers’ Favorite Gold Medal Award winner, Published by Kregel 2012. Working closely with New York bestselling author Cecil Murphey, 90 Minutes in Heaven and When A Man You Love Was Abused, Dawn and Cecil presented 2 conferences entitled, “When Someone You Love was Abused,” help for those suffering from childhood traumas. Dawn also writes a blog for women who have experienced trauma. called, Freedom Girl Sisterhood.
Radio Host of the Freedom Girl Sisterhood Dawn’s other published works include contributions to The Grandmother’s Bible (Zondervan 2008), the Hope in the Mourning Bible (Zondervan 2013), Charisma Magazine, and Spirit-Led Women’s PowerUP. Dawn has also served as a columnist for Beyond Words Magazine and contributed to Alison Bottke’ Boundaries for Adult Children. As a popular keynote and conference speaker, Dawn Scott Jones is an engaging and dynamic communicator who uses humor, heartfelt honesty, and solid biblical teaching to connect with her audiences. Dawn was a featured presenter for 10 years with the National Women’s Conference Time Out! and has shared the platform with speakers such as Kay Author, Joni Erikson Tada, Florence Littauer, Kathy Triccoli, Ellie LoFaro, and Priscilla Evans Shirrer.
Dawn also founded a woman’s conference called Lives Of Value (LOV) and shared the platform with Joyce Meyer, Lisa Bevere, CeCe Winnan, and TammyTrent.
As an ordained minister, Dawn is the Co-Pastor for TRIBES Church,
Dawn’s other ministry facets includes hosting Freedom Girls Sisterhood, her own Blog-talk radio program, co-hosting The Writing Show Blog-talk radio, Freedom Girls Conferences, and Tribes, a multicultural church plant.
As a singer/songwriter, Dawn has produced three musical CD projects and produces numerous audio teachings.
For over twenty years God has graciously used Dawn to touch the lives of people through her personal testimony, humor, practical wisdom, and writing. Whether she is leading support groups, producing radio or webcasts, or preaching to large crowds, the power of her testimony has been used by God to ignite hope and healing in the lives of thousands.
Dawn and her husband Paul Damon have 5 children in their blended family. Active inministry and missions, the couple resides in Rockford, Michigan.
